LIFELONG LEARNING programme

In December 2006 the European Union launched a new educational programme called LIFELONG LEARNING.

The aim of the new programme is to contribute through lifelong learning to the development of the Community as an advanced knowledge society, with sustainable economic development, more and better jobs and greater social cohesion.

The most relevant programme to UCN T & B is the Erasmus (Student and staff mobility) programme which allows student or teachers to study abroad or a placement in enterprises.

Erasmus

Erasmus stands for "European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students" and is the educational programme for Higher Education students, teachers and institutions.

Erasmus is a part of bigger initiative, which supports cooperation among European countries within the areas of education from school to university, new technologies to life long learning.

Erasmus consists of many different activities, such as student mobility (study abroad from 3 to 12 months and a study grant) or placements in enterprises, teacher exchanges and joint development of study programmes. UCN Technology & Business closely cooperates with our partner institutions in the frameworks of Erasmus scheme.

The list is constantly growing what opens new opportunities for UCN Technology & Business' students and staff.

Get help to select work placements

For UCN Technology & Business students it means that the University College will assist them in selecting overseas work placements that would help to develop work-related skills. The Erasmus programme provides a contribution towards the costs of the placement.

For the staff members responsible for career guidance at the Academy Leonardo organizes and co-finances two-way exchanges of expertise taking place in another European country.
