Aalborg airport is the third largest airport in Denmark.
It is located 6,5 kilometres outside Aalborg, which makes the city center within easy reach.
The airport consists of only one termainal, which makes it very easy to find your way around.
When you arrive at the airport, you have two options:
There are almost always taxis waiting outside the airport. - If not, you can get the airport personnel to call one.
A taxi to the city center will take approx. 15 mins and cost about 170 dkr. (€ 23).
In the taxi, you can pay both cash and with most international credit card.
Just outside the airport entrance, you can find a busstop. Busline no. 2 takes you straight to the citycenter, where you find most hotels. The bus runs all day from 5a.m to 10p.m, with approx. 20 mins. interval. A bus-ticket costs 20 dkr. (€ 3) and you can buy it from the busdriver. The busdriver only accepts Danish cash.
Remember: If you have reserved a buscard for public transport during your stay in Aalborg (4 days), you have to pick it up at 'Aalborg Handling' at the airport. Remember to bring cash, as 'Aalborg Handling' does not accept credit card. You can use the buscard in the bus from the airport to the city centre.

Several busses take you closer to your hotel - busline no. 2 takes you through the city center.
