”Sport between business and civil society” is the title of the 2012 EASM Conference and it is within this framework that the Master Student Seminar and the related “Management Game” will take place. In order to specify this, we have selected four areas of focus, complimentary to the conference title.
The four themes of the 2012 EASM Student Seminar are:
Within these four main themes, theoretical sport management disciplines such as marketing, strategy, governance, communication, economics, law and other subjects will be included.
When registering for the 2012 EASM Master Student Seminar, you will be asked to choose from the themes mentioned above. With a maximum number of 100 student participants, there will only be room for approximately 25 students at each theme. Therefore, the students who register first will have the best chance of working with the favourite sport management theme during the seminar. At the beginning of the Master Student Seminar, you will be divided into groups, based on your choice of theme. Each group will work on a case related to the chosen theme, which they will have to present at the end of the seminar. Therefore, it is important to consider which of the themes mentioned above you find the most interesting, so you will be ready with your choice when registering.
At the end of the seminar the three best groups will be selected by a board of experts. These three groups will present their work at the main conference and an overall winner will be announced during the Closing Ceromony on friday 21 september.
