Airport:

Aalborg airport is the third largest airport in Denmark.

It is located 6.5 kilometres outside Aalborg, which makes the city centre within easy reach.

 

The Aalborg Airport serves flights from international hubs as Amsterdam (AMS), London - Gatwick (LGW), Copenhagen (CPH), Berlin Schöner (SXF) and Oslo (OSL).

The airport consists of only one terminal, which makes it very easy to find your way around.

When you arrive at the airport, you have two options:

 

1. Take a taxi.
There are almost always taxis waiting outside the airport. If not, you can get the airport personnel to call one.

A taxi to the city center will take approx. 15 mins and cost about 170 DKK (EUR 23).
In the taxi, you can pay both with danish cash and with most international credit cards.

2. Take the bus.
Just outside the airport entrance, you can find a bus stop. Bus line no. 2 takes you straight to the city centre, where you will find most hotels. The bus runs all day from 5 am to 10 pm, with approx. 20 mins. interval. A bus ticket costs 18 DKK (EUR 2,5) and you can buy it from the bus driver. The bus driver only accepts Danish cash.

Railway Station: 

The train station is located right in the city centre. From the train station you can:

 

1. Walk.
You can choose to walk to your hotel, which will be approx. 10-15 mins. walk, depending on your hotel location.


2. Take a taxi.
Taxis are almost always waiting outside the railway station. If not, you can get the train personnel to call one, or you can call one yourself: (+45) 98 10 10 10.

  

3. Take the bus.
Several buses takes you close to your hotel. Bus line no. 2 takes you through the city centre. Ask at the ticket office at the railway station for more information - they will be able to provide you with a city map as well. A bus ticket costs 18 DKK (EUR 2.5) and you can buy it from the bus driver. The bus driver only accepts Danish cash.
