Please note that students from outside EU/EEA applying to study at UCN have to pay a tuition fee. Under each programme you can find the specific tuition fee and the payment schedule. We do not charge an application fee.
If you are an EU student you are entitled to a scholarship from the Danish Government covering the tuition fees for the whole programme. EU students are students from the following countries:
| Austria | Italy |
| Belgium | Latvia |
| Bulgaria | Lithuania |
| The Czech Republic | Luxembourg |
| Denmark | Malta |
|
Cyprus (applies to the Greek-Cypriot area only) |
Poland |
| Estonia | Portugal |
| Finland | Romania |
| France | Slovakia |
| Germany | Slovenia |
| Greece | Spain |
| Holland | Sweden |
| Hungary | United Kingdom |
| Ireland |
EEA students are students from Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland.
International students must have sufficient funds to cover their living expenses while studying in Denmark. Many students find a student job after some time, but should be prepared to cover at least some living costs themselves and in periods the whole amount.
Recently living expenses for the average student in Aalborg have been approx. EUR 620 per month. In the following we have tried to set up an average monthly budget for a student studying in Denmark:
| Housing* (max) | EUR | 300 |
| Food, clothing, etc | EUR | 200 |
| Bus ticket | EUR | 50 |
| Other | EUR | 70 |
| Total expenses max | EUR | 620 |
* Students normally rent a room (e.g. at student hostel) or share a flat with other students. The City of Aalborg guarantees that all incoming students have a temporary place to stay provided they have registered at the AKU-homepage in advance. UCN is not a part of AKU but we offer help to students who might have difficulties filling out the registration form.
