Accommodation

UCN Technology and UCN Business can help our students finding accommodation in Aalborg. We can offer accommodation at the following dormitories:

 

UC House

UC House is situated just opposite the largest shopping area in Aalborg with more than 100 shops, in an area called Skalborg. You will find everything you need here from Supermarkets, Banks, Post Offices, Pharmacies, etc.

 

UC House is less than 2 km from our department at Sofiendalsvej (by car) and about 800 m (by bike) and 4 km from the city centre. More than 5 different buses connect UC House to the city centre. Furthermore, there is a train station in the area which can take you from Skalborg to Aalborg West and our department at Porthusgade, and Lindholm Station close to our department at Lindholm Brygge. The trip takes 8‐10 minutes.

We offer refurbished, spacious rooms with beds, computer tables and lamps. The center of the house is the main living room with direct access to a closed garden with barbeques. There are large sofas in the living room for hanging out with your friends or for watching TV on the big flat screen. There is also table tennis and pool tables.

 

Furthermore, there is free high‐speed wireless Internet. Yo will also find that there are laundry facilities with washing machines and tumble dryers as well as fully fitted kitchens with a place to sit down and enjoy a home cooked meal.
 

Most rooms have the size of 20 m² and have private toilets. Prices range from DKK 1850 to DKK 2450 for a single room and DKK 1325 to DKK 1525 per person for two people in a shared room. There is installed a fridge in all rooms.

Nordjysk Handelskollegium - Only for ERASMUS students

The dormitory is situated in the part of Aalborg called “Hasseris”. It is approx. 2 kilometres from our department at Sofiendalsvej and the same to our department in Porthusgade. Our department at Lindholm Brygge can be reached either by bus, train or bycycle.

 

At Hasseris you have everything that you do need:

• several grocery shops
• several banks
• post office
• chemists
• library
• dry-cleaner
• fashion shops
• florists
• pizzeria

In the rooms you will find a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, and a lamp. You have to bring your own kitchen utensils (plates, glass, knife and fork, etc.). We have installed a fridge in your room as well.

You share bath with one student. You share kitchen facilities with 10 – 11 other students.

 

There are washing-room facilities with a tumble-dryer, and there is also internet connection at the dormitory.

 

Nota Bene: You will have to bring your own duvet, pillow and bedlinen.

 

You have to pay rent and deposit for the room. Rent for fall semester 2012 is DKK 10,000 + a deposit of DKK 2,000. Nota Bene: You have to pay rent for the whole semester + deposit before you move in.

 

You will receive more information about this in the information letter that you will receive from UCN. You will get the deposit refunded when you leave Nordjysk Handelskollegium but only if you have left the room in perfect order.
