If you are planning on studying in Denmark, here is all the official information you need to apply for a visa, residence permit etc. - www.newtodenmark.dk
The language school is open for all foreigners who are interested in learning Danish. However, in order to attend, you must have a Danish Central National registration Number (CPR number).
Furthermore, if you live in Aalborg Kommune (Aalborg municipality) you must contact “Jobcenter-Integration” in order to attend. If you live outside Aalborg Kommune you must apply at the local municipality to get permission to study in Aalborg. New attendants will be interviewed and must take a placement-test with a counsellor.
The Danish courses will be offered within a month after permission has been granted. The courses take place in the morning, afternoon or in the evening at Kastevej 26, near the centre of Aalborg.
The actual tuition is based on the background and qualifications of each individual attendant and the language classes may be combined with working hours or programmes elsewhere. The tuition is paid by your home municipality and the entrance fee is also free. Moreover, all learning materials, such as textbooks, photocopies, exercise books etc. are free, whereas you must bring your own dictionaries.
All attendants can chose between three different language courses divided into six levels. The three courses can be completed with a state-controlled exam, which is held in May/June and in November/December.
