As a radiographer you are educated in a multi-dimensional field. You learn e.g. how to handle the technique and technology helping us to learn about the interior of the body. You will develop a sharp eye for decisive details which can make signs of disease visible and treatment possible. As a radiographer you are an important part of the health professional team.
The other dimension of the field is the ability to give the patient the best possible experience – despite being in a demanding and unpleasant situation. In other words you need empathy when you guide the patient through an examination. You have to be able to deal with all the things we cannot take pictures or images of.
A student exchange in Denmark is driven by your own ideas, initiative and commitment supplemented with counselling. We receive exchange students at no specific time.
However, we suggest you have completed the first half of your education before you come to Denmark as an exchange student. At this point you will have acquired the knowledge and professional identity needed in your home country which you will use as a basis for studying in Denmark.
The education is organised as an interaction between theoretical and clinical education. The theoretical part is 115 ECTS and the clinical part is 95 ECTS.
Starting from september 2008 the education has two study programmes: Diagnostic Radiography and Radiation Therapy.
