Do you see yourself developing, leading and managing large construction enterprises and are you looking for a career in international construction?
As an Architectural Technologist and Construction Manager you take part in the overall planning of a construction project.
Your role will often be that of project manager or site manager in an entrepreneurial, engineering or architectural company.
The building process depends on the close cooperation between many different skills and specialists.
The Architectural Technologist and Construction Manager plays an important role in tying together the knowledge and interests of the client, architects, engineers, tradesmen and authorities.
This requires that you are able to cooperate and communicate with a range of different people with different educational, language, and cultural background. It also requires that you have a good general overview.
With the ATCM programme you will have an education aimed at solving complex problems that are based on real life construction tasks.
The programme consists of seven semesters (3½ years), and in the 6th semester you will be doing a twenty week internship in a Danish or foreign company. Each semester is based on an interdisciplinary semester project that is to be completed in groups of three or four students and will be tried at an exam at the end of the semester.
In the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th semester you will have the opportunity to focus on an elective topic and complete an individual report about your chosen topic.
In the programme you will learn about project management, construction and design, the use of digital tools in the construction process, organisation and cooperation, and business operations and administration.
The ATCM programme offers a range of opportunities to gain international and practical experience as you are offered the opportunity to do an internship in a range of Danish or international companies as well as the opportunity to do a semester at a university abroad.
