Education & Social Studies at UCN

The division of Education and Social Studies at UCN offers five different Bachelor Degrees. The division has approx. 2,500 full time students in Hjørring and in Aalborg.

All our programmes train people who will attend to central tasks in our welfare society.

Connection between theory and practice

Learning to connect theory and practice is of great importance on all our programmes. Therefore, theoretical work combined with practical training is greatly prioritised, and learning is organised in individual work, group work, team teaching, lectures, excursions, written exercises and other disciplines.

Internationalisation

The international aspect has high priority. To ensure an outstanding international standard, every department has International Coordinators and the faculty comprises a central international function, the Faculty International Office.

The primary tasks of the Education & Social Studies International Office are to:

• Develop and partner in international research and development projects
• Create Joint and Double Degree Programmes
• Encourage mobility across borders
• Increase the number of modules taught in English and ensure the quality
• Further develop the internationalisation of curricula
• Increase the student and staff mobility and ensure the quality in this connection
