On the Financial Management programme we have organised the lessons according to specific themes to give you a feeling of coherence between subject fields. The subjects support each other and the lecturers are very interdisciplinary and practically oriented. There will be group, class as well as individual work.
After completing the joint part that covers subjects such as business economics, financial activities & marketing, business law, client and customer relations management, global economics, management & communication, statistics and personal finance, you will be able to specialise within these electives:
The finishing touch to your education is the final examination project which is closely linked to your specialisation and may be carried out in collaboration with a company. A stay abroad may be part of your work on the final examination project.
The teaching on this programme is based on themes. This means that in all subjects, students will work on a joint theme to connect individual subjects with each other and give the students a feeling that the subjects connect to form a whole.
As regards teaching, this means that lectures take their starting point in relevant business practices and link practise to theory. We will include real life problems and issues from different kinds of businesses in the financial sector. We will also look at financial planning and control of private and public companies.
Tuition will be varied and features whole class teaching, lectures, project work, interdisciplinary cases, theme work, guest lectures and visits to companies. These different teaching and learning forms will give students academic knowledge and develop their ability to work independently as well as with others. Furthermore, foreign languages may be included in teaching materials and in lessons.
Over the course of the programme, a clear progression in the learning forms occurs meaning that learning forms move from being knowledge-oriented and lecturer-directed to becoming problem-oriented and student-directed. This progression will also support the development of the individual student in the personal competencies of presentation technique and project management.
