When Ann was to choose an education, it was decisive and important to her that the education had a wide scope and would suit many different fields of work to leave her with a variety of career paths and possibilities.
At the moment however, she is mainly interested in leading her education towards a specialisation in the real estate business. She has always dreamt of becoming a real estate agent and she never hesitated when she opted for the Financial Management study programme.
Ann is now on her final semester on the Financial Management AP Degree programme. She thinks that she has got a good foundation by now and has experienced exciting as well as complicated subjects along the way.
Her favourites were law and business economics, while she found it difficult to take an interest in statistics. She finished her third semester and went on an internship at Estate Mæglerne Algren estate agents. This was a time that Ann truly appreciated.
During her internship, she wrote a specialisation paper which focused on the obligations and liabilities to pay damages of estate agents. For her final examination project, she wrote about the housing market and the situation of estate agents after the outbreak of the financial crisis - a situation which both intrigues her and makes her slightly anxious. At the moment she is waiting for her final oral exam where she is to defend her project.
She thinks that she has gained many relevant things from her education and she is particularly happy with the knowledge she acquired during her internship.
“I think it was really exciting to get to experience real life and connect theory with practise. It gave me a great insight into the business and I think that was the semester that I learned the most from. Of course I used the background knowledge that I obtained from the other semesters as a basis for handling the tasks and assignments I was given, but I really think it was worthwhile.
Ann also likes the wide scope of the study programme because it is aimed at several trades while it can also be aimed at the real estate business.
