If you want information about literature and the academic level at each education you can have a look at the bibliography from the 1st semester:

My name is Veneta Manolova. I am from Sofia, Bulgaria. I am so happy to be student at University College of North-ern Denmark at the Marketing Manage-ment programme. It was my dream to get education abroad and I decided to come and study in Aalborg at UCN because of the high academic reputation of the institution. The teachers are very friendly, talented, open-minded and have practical knowledge in all fields of subjects.
UCN has all facilities to encourage stu-dent to study – new modern building, computer rooms, school libraries, book-store, copy and print machines, wire-less internet access and 24-hours ac-cess for students in the school. It is a pleasure to study at UCN. I would like to recommend UCN for professional edu-cation to everyone who wants to study in Denmark. I am happy studying here and it is wonderful! |
The first 3 semesters take place at UCN - University College of Northern Denmark in Denmark, and consist of compulsory and elective subjects. On the programme’s 4th semester you can go for either an internship at a company of your choice in Denmark or abroad, or you can select a study period.
Lastly, a final project is to be written in order to complete the programme. This is to be made in close collaboration with a specific company, and could be the same company where you did your internship during the specialization period.
On the Marketing Management programme at UCN - University College of Northern Den-mark instruction usually takes place between 8:30 a.m. and 15:00 p.m. Instruction is divided into modules that last half a day or a whole day. For instance a module could be about competitor analysis in the subject “International Marketing” or it could be a lecture, a group assignment, field analysis etc.
Some modules will be interdisciplinary where students from different study programmes work together on a specific subject e.g. international distribution possibilities for export companies.
Between tuition days there are so-called study days where students can study/read or solve assignments in study groups. UCN - University College of Northern Denmark students can receive help from lecturers for solving assignments.

At UCN - University College of Northern Denmark students and lecturers are closely connected. That is why we usually teach small classes or groups and everyone receives individual guidance.
We use different methods for instruction such as whole-class teaching, cases, project work, field work and individual assignments. There will be interdisciplinary activities on a regular basis to strengthen coherence within and between subjects.
Interdisciplinary events can be study trips, business simulation games, theme days and IT courses. They could also include a visit from a Californian professor, giving a lecture on cultural differences, an export officer from Slovakia telling us about the Eastern European market or a financial advisor sharing his knowledge on Denmark’s future financial development.
The Marketing Management programme offers varied and interesting everyday life.
On the Marketing Management programme tuition is planned according to themes to give you the feeling of coherence between disciplines. Your final written assignment is the climax and you may even go abroad too.

Experience economy and events are covered by the marketing subject. We focus on different aspects of the commercialization of experiences including how to market experiences, communication and IT application.
Event planning contains, among other things, theory on the execution and evaluation of events. Different companies and trades within the experience economy will be used as examples and cases in class.
Every year we go on a study trip to a foreign market to visit different companies and universities. The purpose is to get a first-hand impression of the market possibilities and to build a social relationship outside the class room.
