Bachelor and Masters Degrees

UCN is focused on offering three types of degrees:
1) Academy Profession degree (AP degree) duration is 2-2.5 years.

2) Top-up programmes 1.5 years leading to a Bachelor degree (BA)

3) Full bachelor degrees (BA degree) – duration is 3.5 years.

1) An Academy Profession (AP) degree is an undergraduate academic degree that is recognized by The Danish Ministry of Education. It is also internationally recognized through the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). This comprehensive two-year curriculum is similar to the first two years of a 3-year Bachelor degree. This gives you a very flexible system and you can streamline yourself.

2) After the AP degrees at UCN you can add another 1.5 years of full time studies and get a bachelor degree. Read more about which programme that gives credit to the top-up BA programmes at UCN at the pages of the individual programmes.

You will get two full diplomas choosing this flexible path. You will graduate with both an AP Degree and with a BA Degree.

You can study, at UCN in English, the following top up programmes leading to BA degrees:

Please contact the secretaries at the administration or the International Coordinator if you have any questions, or fill in the application form and send it no later than July 5th to UCN at admission@ucn.dk. Remember also to send the following documents attached to your application:

  • Curriculum of your degree programme containing the subjects that you have had and the ECTS-points given for each subject.

At UCN we also have a lot of partner universities in Denmark and abroad (UK, the Netherlands, France, Norway, USA, Australia, etc.) where you top-up your AP degree and obtain a Bachelor degree. When taking the top-up studies abroad you get both a Danish AP degree and e.g. a UK BA degree.  A list of top-up bachelor study opportunities abroad within selected subject areas will soon be available at this site.

3) UCN has also full Bachelor degrees in English. It can be studied within Architectural Technology & Construction ManagementExport & Technology Management, or Natural & Cultural Heritage Management.

After graduation with a BA degree students can continue their studies in Denmark or abroad to get a Master's degree. The masters are normally studied at "more traditional universities". A list of Master studies opportunities within selected subject areas will soon be available at this site.
