An exam should be a good experience where you can show your abilities, skills and knowledge. A good exam is an exam where you are not too nervous, and you can help create such an exam yourself.
It may be a matter of planning, overcoming bad exam experiences, relaxation techniques and about keeping calm.
But that is easier said than done, especially if you feel that exams are a true nightmare or if you have experienced (or are fearing that you will experience) that your mind goes blank.
That is why UCN has different offers of help for students. You can sit in on a lecture on exam fear, where you will learn about e.g. simple techniques that can turn exam fear into self confidence.
You can also book an individual meeting with a study counsellor who can give you personal guidance.
The purpose of these offers are to give you enough tools to handle your anxiety before it becomes a problem.
