During your first semester, you will be allocated selected tutors who have received tutor training to ensure you a good course of studies at UCN Technology and UCN Business.
The tutors have been trained to look after your interests and this means you can always turn to them if you have questions regarding e.g. the study environment at UCN, your study programme or Aalborg as a student city.
The job as a tutor at UCN Technology and UCN Business involves interesting challenges that develop tutors professionally as well as personally. Being a student, you can also become a tutor, however we do require you to be service minded, responsible and take a serious approach to solving tasks.
We hire tutors twice a year. We do this because some of your study programmes feature a study start in September and in February.
All tutors must take a compulsory two-day tutor training course where they will be equipped to handle the different tasks that relate to study start. The two training days consist in modules within subjects such as communication, idea development, collaboration, loyalty and networking.
As a tutor you will be the contact for a single class. Usually your class will belong to the same study programme as yourself.
During your tutorship, you will get a lot of fun experiences with new students and other tutors and you will definitely develop your skills in communication, collaboration, networking and innovation.
After the tutorship is over you will receive a statement about your work. You can use this statement when you are applying for internships and jobs.
The Tutor (Instructor) Team (the student counsellors) of UCN Technology and UCN Business will be standing by to help if a future employer requires further details about your efforts as a tutor. Last but no least, you will also receive a small present as a thank you.
You can always get help and guidance for your role as a tutor and the student counsellors at UCN Technology and UCN Business will do what they can to give you and future students a really great experience.
