Bachelor in Software Development

 

 

Are you challenged by programming and large scale development projects? Would you like to call yourself software developer? If Yes, the Bachelor top-up degree in Software Development might be the right choice for you.

 

About the programme

The programme focuses on the challenges which software developers face when working with large, often global systems’ development projects. The first 2 semesters consist of 6 courses focusing on different aspects of how to handle communication and coordination in large projects. The last semester consists of an internship and a bachelor project.
 

 

The programme is a 3 semesters’ full time undergraduate study giving you 90 ECTS points. It is based on research into the demands of the IT world for staff with international competences in the area of software development.


With an

  • AP degree in Computer Science or

  • equivalent higher education programme

 

you have access to this bachelor top-up program.

 

Career opportunities

As a Bachelor of Software Development you know how to handle the back-end part of big distributed IT systems based on large databases. Your job opportunities could be:

Semester 1-2: Lectures, project work, tutoring, case-studies, compulsory assignment

  • Database for developers

  • Contract based development

  • Development of large systems

In addition there are special electives such as

  • Theory of science

  • Security

  • Project Management


Semester 3: Work placement & Bachelor Project


Master’s Degree

Bachelor graduates can typically obtain a Master’s degree after having studied 1-2 years at universities and schools in Denmark and/or abroad.
