Thisted
Thisted is the biggest town in Thy with almost 15,000 inhabitants. Despite its size, the town has kept its ambience of intimacy, which you can feel as you take a walk through its many charming streets and alleys. The pedestrian area is filled with interesting shops, restaurants and cafés. A new shopping centre has opened with a warehouse, shops, restaurants, and a parking area.
Thisted is the town between the sea and the fjord. Situated at a wonderful spot by the Limfjord. Thisted is full of life and activities for the whole family during the summer.
Thisted Museum is a regional museum where you will find e.g. memorials of two famous townsmen, the writer, Mr. J.P. Jacobsen, and the school pioneer, Mr. Christen Kold.
During summertime you can sail from Thisted harbour with the schooner "Lovise Moland" on the Limfjord.
